People Who Post(ed)

- Clif Burns (Export Law Blog) - Oh gosh just the best export compliance blog posts.  Clif stopped posting in 2018 but don't let that prevent you from reading some of his timeless bangers.

- Pete Mento (on LinkedIn) - Long-time U.S. import guy sharing his thoughts

- Marketoonist - Import/export compliance people should be good marketers, so some of this guy's cartoons should hit home

- Matt Kelly (Radical Compliance) - This is business ethics and compliance, which requires a different skillset, yet will also get you thinking more

- Broadcat - Yes, more business ethics and compliance but a lot of their posts and resources are relevant, especially for training

- Hui Chen (Hui Chen Ethics) - OK, one more business ethics and compliance blog.  That area of compliance just has a lot more people willing to put their opinions and thoughts on how to do things online.

The Prince, by Niccolò Machiavelli - Sure, Machiavellianism is shorthand for manipulating people to get what you want AND it's part of the dark triad.  More positively, Machiavellianism can be summarized as understanding people and acting accordingly.  Anyway, read the book

The Rules Of The Game, by Pierluigi Collina - Solid book about being a world-class referee, from the referee of the 2002 Men's Soccer (Football) World Cup final

What Color Is Your Parachute?, by Richard Bolles - Another classic, this book provides essential advice for both job-hunting and job success.  You don't need a new copy; any of them from the last 10 years will do
